Visits 2009

Dave and Judy

First, Dave, Judy and her sister Nicky came in April for a couple of weeks and Judy's sister Nicky came too. Good times. They brought us (among many other things) some great goodies including super cheddar cheese, Marmite, custard powder - all the things that are impossible to get here. Well you can get custard powder but it's in sachets and white. Nothing like we're used to! You can even get cheddar here sometimes but it's seriously expensive and never mature. I'm talking €4.50 for a piece that would fill three sandwiches.

 

Faizcy and Hannah

Faizcy and Hannah came for his birthday in May. What beautiful people they are. I even had a chance to get to know Hannah better which was great. I couldn't have a better daughter-in-law if I'd been told I had to choose one. Photos soon - I hope!

Ian and Corinne

Ian and Corinne were here end of May/early June - but only for 10 days, sadly. They're great company and brought some lovely goodies for us!

Andy and Alison

Andy and Alison paid their first visit here. Andy liked it so much that I think if Leros had a single golf course...

We had some great times and they saw some good places. Tzouma's, The Castle, the museum, Tzouma's...

Andy was showing a definite inclination towards spending more time here but as I may have mentioned no golf course!
