Tzouma, the dumpee who came to stay
Tzouma only took a few days to wind Boz around her paw - and wind him up come to that. They're good together. It took Tzouma 3 weeks to become house-trained and has only had 1 accident in four days... fingers crossed.
The vet says she looks to have German Shepherd in her. Hmm, here's hoping he's wrong. She has small paws but huge (pointy) ears. Some days they flop, others stand upright. We'll see. I'll let you know.
Update November 7th.
Well, she's nicely settled in now. I've suggested a sweepstake on what size she ends up. People keep asking me how big she's going to be - as if I'd know! I think she looks a bit like a jackal, skinny, long legs and still has huge pointy ears. She'll have to be spayed in a couple of weeks as she'll be nearly five months old and Leros really doesn't need any more cross-bred dogs!
She has a number of friends, people and dogs. The fishermen in Tzoumas call her over, usually with her Greek name "Tzoumena" which is the feminine of Tzouma which we didn't know at the time. She answers to most things unless she's got a friend (dog) along when she shuts her ears to my commands. Oh well, more training and age should take care of that.
Update December 1st
Here are two videos, one with Boz the cat, the other with Jim, trying to make her go into Gremlin mode, flapping ears.
Next week she should be getting spayed - if the vet's back from Rome that is. She's five months old today and we're getting a bit nervous!
