The Other Side of the Tail
No,
this is not a typo. Since writing "Let Loose the Dogs..." I have met several
instances of the complete opposite to those about whom I wrote.
There is a story about Tatiana, the donkey. Tatiana got too old to work, so her owner sold her to a man, telling him that he only need give her water every three days.
She was thin and pitiful and luckily for her, along came Lefteris and Theodora. They bought Tatiana, who now lives in a field, spoilt for the first time in her life.
She was hot one evening, so she and her dog-friend, Arkus, decided to go for a swim in the sea, about 50 steps down from her field. A few people, for some reason, objected and phoned Lefteris to tell him the donkey was in the sea. Some others shouted at her. Lefteris has a bar. Tatiana got frightened and, hearing Lefteris' voice, ran up to the bar. This wasn't close enough, so she went into the bar to find him.
They also have a beautiful black cat who unfortunately Rosie has decided will be friends with! This cat they found as a kitten - in a bin. Photographs which I will put here in the next few days will show that there are a number of Lerians who truly care about animals. Thank God for that, say I.
