Judi and Layla's visit 3rd to 17th April 2006 - see pictures

Layla on arrivalMy god-daughter Judi and and her little girl Layla arrived on the little De Havilland Dash pretty worn out, having left England at 10.15 the night before. So we did the obvious thing, took them down to the kafenio in Panteli. layla played on the beach while Judi (and us) had a reviving beer (Mythos of course) or two.

Then we took them to the apartment, bite to eat and Judi collapsed into bed for a well-earned snooze. Not so Layla! Hving had a reviving kip in Athens airport she was wide awake! She and I walked to Vromolithos via Panteli beach. We found a few shells and then I saw a friend who said "come in". Half an hour later Layla was fast asleep in a chair so I took her back to the apartment.

That evening we ate in Psarapoula and had an early night.

The next day was Judi's birthday so we celebrated in style at Zorba's including a birthday cake courtesy of Antonis, the proprietor. We were joined by some friends and it was a merry evening. We completed it at 3am-ish in the Castello, a new bar-cafe.

We had a lovely fortnight with Judi and Layla and there are some pictures Judi took here.
