On 7th January it was the Feast of John the Baptist. We had been told it was worth going to see, so we did. It was lovely. Bands playing, a parade down from the church in Agia Marina to the dock.

After the Patriarch said a number of prayers he threw a cross into the water. A young man dived in to retrieve it and received blessings from the Patriarch to loud cheers. There was a lovely atmosphere and we saw many people we knew in their Sunday best.
