Well, this is the view that sold us

The work on the house started June 6th. It stopped in July and resumed September. The reasons were apparently manifold. The planning permission had expired as the skeleton was more than 10 years old. This seemed to be the biggest problem. Then the mules were tired/muleteer worked for the council in his day job etc. One mule fell off the steps one day but he(?) was apparently fine. The only reason not given was rain (at that time anyway) as there was none between May and October. I'm writing this at the end of January still in our temporary holiday apartment, freezing our butts off. Our Greek friends all say February/March. The architect is always kind enough to give us dates. None of which are correct but he obviously feels it is a way to keep us quiet for a week. We're now waiting for the tiler. The building is not fully plastered, nor is there a drainpipe from the roof, so when it rains the wall is drenched. The builders are now on another job but will come back to finish we are assured.
