When my job took a nose-dive I suggested to Rich that we move to Leicester to be near Richard's brother John and his wife Barbara. Rich said (half) jokingly, "or Greece". We'd been visiting Greek islands for years and adore the country.

So in a bit of fun I typed "buying a house in Greece" into Google. I found George (Giorgos), a Greek man married to (English) lecturer Sue, who gets to know houses for sale here and he has studio rooms in Leros.

So we had a holiday in Leros - fell in love, found a house and bought it (well, skeleton). Moved here in May 2005 and stayed in a holiday apartment until - well until the house is finished!
