The Festive Season 2008
I can only say we had a superb Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
Christmas Eve we went to Anne (from New Zealand)'s house for drinks, nibbles and, for the stayers, food. Photos courtesy of Christina, Anne's daughter. She's over for Christmas holidays from her school in New Zealand. She returns there 31st January. Her friend Daria is visiting from England although she leaves 14th January.
Christmas Day Sylvia and Julian kindly invited us for - not only Christmas lunch but also cheese and pickles for supper. We didn't think we'd be able to eat a thing more that day after the magnificent lunch which included... joy of joys, parsnips (can't get 'em here)! But what a treat! Cheddar, Brie, Camembert and pickled onions!! Oh boy, all things unobtainable here. What a lovely day we had. We played "Pass the Pigs" and, later, Trivial Pursuit for the first time in many years. Great day.
