Cool New Feature

Late March '09

Check this map of Leros out!

Very cool! There is a practical purpose - as soon as I understand it a little better I'll be putting it on a couple of new websites I'm doing. I'll be putting the links here as soon as they're public. Watch this space.

What else. Life goes on I'm happy to say. I went bowling today, there were six of us - Anne returns from New Zealand at the weekend. It's very up-to-date although only four lanes. There are wonderful graphics on the screens and you can see how many of the little sodding pins left! Tuesdays is "free games for ladies" day. Nikitas, the manager, kindly lets us play three games every week. We start off with coffee and one or two of us (cough) gravitate to beer. Today the computer was down. We had to use... yes... pen and paper to keep score! Sue Pierce did a grand job - especially since I won that won that one! No, I did not bribe her! Sadly my next two didn't live up to the first (we were back with the computer by then), coming a crashing near-last afterwards. Ho hum. He (Nikitas) always brings nibbles with the drinks. Mini toasted sandwiches, cheese and olives, carrot sticks and various other goodies.

Greek lessons are also on a Tuesday. While being fun (there's only Liz and me at the so-called Advanced Class) my homework was full of mistakes. Well I tried.

I have four websites on the go at the moment which is great. I need to finish at the end of March. Dave and Judy arrive 3rd April and I need a week to get the house clean and shining. At the moment it's a complete tip. Rain has come through and under the windows, dust everywhere because we have the windows open and housework is necessarily low on my list of priorities other than essential maintenance.

Time for an ouzo.
